Andante Travels launches new Art, Food and Music Tours

The team at Andante Travels are turning over a new leaf for 2017, with the launch of their new programme of ‘Travels In’ tours. Well known for its vast and eclectic range of Archaeological Holidays, Andante is now delighted to present a fabulous selection of Art History, Food & Culture and Music & Dance tours. The programme is the brainchild of Product co-ordinator Rosetta Ferrari, who has spent the past six months, travelling, researching and liaising with experts to refine the tours.

In her own words:

“Whenever I go on holiday I like to think I can return home having experienced something wonderful that I was not expecting, as well as, of course, visiting the places I had set out to see. I look for the white roads on the maps and the strange-sounding village names. I search menus for unusual dishes and try to find out where the ingredients are produced and why. If there is an opera house or art gallery nearby I will fit that in, too. In putting itineraries together for other people I always bear these things in mind, knowing that those special moments make a holiday very memorable.”

The tours include exploring Art History in Florence, Northern Tuscan cuisine and Opera, Music and Dance in New York. What really stands out, in addition to the usual expert guide, is the quality and quantity of unique special access that Rosetta has been able to secure. Among many other things, guests will be able to:

  • Meet members of the New York Ballet Company and go back stage at the Met.
  • Forage for Mushroom with a local expert, high in the Apennines.
  • Enjoy a private concert given by the renowned Paul Klee ensemble.
  • Revel, in a private viewing of Michaelangelo’s David in Florence.
