After graduating from Bournemouth University in 2003 Jamie enjoyed several years of working in French ski resorts and onboard luxury cruise ships before settling on a career in digital marketing in 2006. Now with over ten years of experience in digital marketing for some of the UK’s most high-profile organisations, Jamie leads our digital team to provide the best possible experience across the group websites and digital marketing activities.
Joe began his career with Specialist Journeys in 2010 and has since worked in a wide variety of roles across the organisation, mainly focused on sales and operations. An experienced Tour Manager as well, Joe now brings his knowledge & understanding from across the business in his new role – ensuring the right commercial focus while maintaining the delivery of the best quality holidays for Specialist Journeys’ customers.
Born in Salisbury, Olivia has lived here all her life. Once she finished South Wilts Grammar School in 2009 she went on to become a fully qualified hairdresser, before joining the group in 2016. She has had a strong passion for travel and seeing the world since she started travelling abroad with family at the age of 2. Olivia’s life ambition is to explore as much of the world as possible. Travel is just one of her many interests and being animal obsessed too, she would love our CEO to buy a Safari company!
A travel enthusiast and creative marketer, Cheska returned to the travel industry following 5 years marketing visitor attractions in 2017. With 10 years of experience across PR, digital and content specialisms, Cheska and her team bring to life the specialist interest tours we offer from archaeology to painting, wine and castles.
Having worked in several different roles during his time at the organisation, Martin has most recently helped set up our New York sales office which has now become successful in building our rapidly growing number of American customers. He continued to manage the US office for two years before coming back to the UK in 2017. He and his team are primarily responsible for driving new reservations and providing the exceptionally high levels of care and attention that Specialist Journeys’ customers expect.
Kathryn has been in working in Sales and Marketing roles all of her career, beginning at a young age with a Saturday job selling bread and cakes on Salisbury Market. The varied list of products she has been responsible for promoting and selling include property, exhibition space, business consultancy, luxury hampers, adventure holidays and battlefield tours. Kathryn and her team look forward to making a real and significant impact on the growth in numbers of people coming on their holidays with Specialist Journeys.
Having left uni (studying Interpreting and Translating in French and German), Alison started in school travel in Brighton in 1990. After 3 years she headed back north to work on incoming travel for individuals to Scotland for DFDS. Alison Joined Brightwater Holidays as Operations Manager in 1995 when there was one other member of staff (plus the 2 Directors). Over the years she has helped Brightwater grow to 15 staff and became Associate Director running business day-to-day.
